My hair journey

I decided that this summer I would set myself a goal to achieve much healthier and stronger hair. All the heat damage and dead ends and cheap products have left my hair really dry, frizzy, broken and it seems to be falling out way to much. I havent been treating it very well, coloring it at home way to much and leaving it up in buns with elastics that seem to always snag my hair. Its probably in the worst shape that its ever been in. So now its time for action! I decided my hair routine definetly needed an overhaul since it obviously wasnt doing the job.

So first things first shampoo! The last few times I got my hair cut the hairdressers kept questionning my choice of shampoo. They seemed to think that my shampoo had more to do with my dry brittle hair then my conditonner. Now being a conditionner lover I was pretty confused thinking that the conditionner was suppose to be the thing to help my hair's dryness. So I went out and purchased two new shampoo's, both of wich are sulfate free. First one is the blow replenishing shampoo.

And the next is the bain de terre keratin protein phyto protein shampoo!

I got two shampoo's since I read that its good to switch up your shampoo so that your hair doesnt get too ''used'' to a certain one and therefore not clean it aswell. I got both of these at winners.

Step two was conditionner. Since it seems that most fortyfing shampoo's dont have the most attractive smell I decided to compensante for that with my conditionner. Latly I have been loving the bath and body works mango moisture conditionner. This smells amazing and is currently getting discontinued so its at an awesome price!

Now step three is deep conditionner or some sort of treatment. I have tried many of these but not to many of them have impressed me. So when I was at winners I decided to pick up this eva unbreakable hair mask. It smells very nice and have read a few good things online.

Now for leave in products that I have been using latly. First things first I apply this new leave in treatment I got from redken. Its the anti snap Leave in treatment that is sais to gently smoothes the cuticle, reduces friction from brushing and helps fortify hair that's prone to breaking, splitting or snapping off.

Now as for leave in conditionners I havent really found one that suits my fancy yet. I am debating between trying out the One 'n Only Brazilian Tech Keratin Leave-In Treatment or the big healthy hair soy tri-wheat leave in conditionner.

I am also currently using a split end mender by hair rescue that I got at sally's that seems to be discontinued. Its a tiny bottle and I definetly would not repurchase even if it was still available. So now I am on the look out for a good split end product. I have seen this one here at sally's but it only seems ok.

Now the last hair product I tend to use everyday is either the chi Silk infusion or the macadamia oil.

And now for the last hair thing I use is the the phyto hair supplements. Now this I definetly wouldnt buy again since it is soo expensive and you can find way cheaper hair and nails vitamins at health stores.

How to achieve my goal:

Now other then keeping up with these products everyday I am gonna try and attempt to drink more water since I dont drink nearly enough and get trims more regularly. I am also not gonna dye my hair for the whole summer and I am gonna try and survive a heatless hair summer. That means not using any form of heat on my hair until september. Its already been three weeks with no heat and I am still going strong! So this is gonna hopefully be the routine I stick to with diligence all summer. I will attempt to update you all if I change or add or try out any products.
